Hot Days Ahead!

We're supposed to be heading into three days of hot and humid weather starting tomorrow.

I've been preparing by making ice, jello, iced-tea and orange juice pops...

#241

I thought I had another set of these but I can't find it so this will have to do.

We don't really have the room in our freezer anyway. It's small and cluttered and well...it just is. But this will do for now.

I'm hoping it really isn't that bad. We don't have an air-conditioner and we don't have a car so we can't easily get to an air-conditioned area.

But we have fans and we're on the first floor so it won't be too bad. It's really too early in the season for this kind of thing in New England though. Not unheard of but not usual either.

If it's too hot to do anything i can just spend the day in front of the fan with a good book or three!

I just started reading Spirit by Bridgid Kemmerer. It's the third in the Elemental Series and I've liked the other two novels plus the novellas a lot so I have high hopes for this one too!

Instant Fun

A couple of weeks ago I treated myself to a new toy... instaxluv

and a new book...
 bookluv
I've been having a bit of fun experimenting with it. My daughter is fascinated by it since she's new to the whole concept, having only been exposed to digital cameras before this.

I need to scan in some of the pictures I've taken with the my new instax. It's not a Polaroid but it is still fun. My first camera was a Polaroid back in the late 70s early 80s. Looking through my old photo albums when I was a kid it seems several family members had them since many of the pictures of my are Polaroids. Maybe I'll scan some of those in and share them at some point.
